El Ascensor El Peral se encuentra ubicado en el Cerro Alegre y pertenece a la Municipalidad de Valparaíso. Fue inaugurado el año 1902 con un motor a vapor, y actualmente pertenece al Municipio, siendo declarado Monumento Histórico Nacional el 22 de septiembre de 1998.
